This blog looks at Mercedes-Benz's recent successes in the commercial vehicle sector, and it plans for future achievements following wise partnerships and niche vehicle releases. Mercedes-Benz, the giant car manufacturer from Stuttgart, Germany, has enjoyed a number of successes over the past twelve months with its commercial vehicle range.

Last week saw the awards ceremony in Stuttgart following the ETM Verlag's readers' choice poll. Almost 8,000 people chose the "Best Commercial Vehicles of 2011" from over 170 production series. Also the "Best Brands of 2011" were selected from 22 categories.

The Mercedes Vito has been re-launched with a host of improvements and extra features to make a resurgence in the commercial vehicle market. V6 model to belt out 224bhp in new Vito Image courtesy of feelride.com At the Hamburg launch, Roland Folger, Mercedes-Benz director of van sales said: "This van includes a lot of new features and we have upped the yardstick again in terms of noise, fuel efficiency, payload and CO2 emissions.
