This is a blog about Fiat's recent success in their commercial vehicle segment. This week, the Doblo Cargo van and the Fiat Fiorino van have won an award apiece at the 2012 Trade Van Awards.
Just before the highly anticipated 2012 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, Italian vehicle giant Fiat has been given a head start over all their competitors by winning two commercial vehicle awards this week. The vans in question are the Fiat Doblo Cargo and the Fiat Fiorino; both vans returned home with an award from the 2012 Trade Van Drivers Awards, and this will set them in good stead at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham this week.

This award adds to the extensive list of accolades that the Fiat Doblo Cargo has already won. This particular award was for the Most Versatile Trades Van. Fiat Professional (the name of Fiat's commercial segment) also gained top spot in the TVD Editor's Choice award with the Fiat Fiorino.
"Fiat really upped the ante in the mid-range sector with the launch of the new Doblò Cargo in 2010," said the judge at the 2012 Trade Van Driver Awards. "Since then it has been winning prizes across the world and our award here recognises the superb build quality and the huge number of variants Fiat has made available to trade buyers."
Euro 5 Engines and New Suspension System Place The Doblo Above The Rest
The Fiat Doblo Cargo is truly a class leader in the most important areas that concern everyday tradesmen and professional drivers. It's load capacity is incredible - it is fully able to carry up to a ton in payload, and the cargo area has a huge 4.2m cubed in volume. A recent addition to the van is the excellent Bi-Link suspension. This ensures a much smoother ride, which is both a bonus for the driver, and for any delicate cargo. Furthermore, a new line up of Euro 5 accredited engines make the Fiat Doblo Cargo very fuel efficient, and low in CO2 emissions, saving both the environment and your petrol money.
The Fiat Fiorino's Versatility Makes It A Winner
The Fiat Fiorino van is available in an Adventure version. This makes the van incredible versatile, and meets the requirements of drivers who desire certain levels of traction, as their job often takes them off road. On muddy building sites and steep snowy tracks, the Fiorino excels.
Matthew Eisenegger is the editor of Trade Van Driver, and he backed the Fiorino: "It's very competitive to buy and run, it's great to drive and it carries a great deal of cargo for its size. It also possesses the classic Italian style of design, which I personally like."
Sebastiano Fedrigo, the director of the UK branch of Fiat Professional, was ecstatic about the much deserved accolades his vans have received: "We are delighted to receive these accolades for our class-leading vans from Trade Van Driver. It is particularly pleasing that our models have not only been recognised by an expert panel of journalists, but also by a panel of readers who use light commercial vehicles as part of their businesses."
These vans from Fiat Professional will be on show at this week's Commercial Vehicle Show. Would either of these great vans be an asset to your business or fleet? Let us know below.
