Fancy leasing a Ford Ranger?

The Ford Ranger comes from the same company that produces the world's finest pickup truck (the F-150), so you are probably under the assumption that it’s good, and it is. Undoubtedly, the Ranger provides an impressive combination of comfort and good on-road dynamics while retaining its working truck capabilities. That's a good thing because pick-up consumers now want vehicles that are not only capable of off-road workhorses but also comfortable and enjoyable to drive between jobs. So why not take a look t some of our fantastic Ford Ranger Lease deals

The Ford Ranger is only really competing with the Isuzu D-Max and the Toyota Hilux, both of which are available in a variety of body styles. Ford offers several models of the Ranger, which we will go over in this article.

Ford Ranger Lease Performance

The Ford Ranger engine lineup is straightforward; there is only one 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine available in three power outputs. There is a 128bhp 2.0 Ecoblue 130, a 168bhp 2.0 Ecoblue 170, and a 210bhp 2.0 Ecoblue 213.The Ecoblue 213 has more than adequate acceleration. It pulls powerfully from low revs but also has plenty of punch to quickly reach motorway speeds or overtake. However, in the wider, heavier Raptor, this engine falls short of the model's Ford Performance nickname. The Wildtrak is indeed faster if you want a fast pickup truck. The Ecoblue 213 is a ready and able load-lugger, as expected. It's strong enough to handle whatever you throw at it, whether it's your work gear or your friends and their luggage.

The Ranger's most powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine is one of the smoothest in the class, but if you're expecting SUV-level sophistication, the ever-present diesel background noise may frustrate you after a period. But who wants a pickup that isn’t gonna grab your attention?

Ford Ranger Lease Interior

Many drivers prefer a huge SUV or pick-up for its elevated driving position, and if that describes you, you'll enjoy the soaring Ford Ranger. As the driver, you will be treated to a comfortable seat with four-way manual adjustment, and eight-way electric seats with lumbar adjustment are standard on Limited and Wildtrak models. The Raptor model also gets specially designed seats that are comfortable even when ricocheting over rocky terrain.

The base Ranger XL comes with a monochrome-screen infotainment system that is standard but includes Bluetooth and a DAB radio. The XLT trim level adds an 8.0in Ford Sync touchscreen infotainment system, while the Limited, Wildtrak, and Raptor trim levels get the same screen with the addition of Ford's latest Sync 3 software.

Ford Ranger Space

The Ford Ranger Regular Cab is purely a two-seater, but those seats give two adults more than enough room, even when they're tall. The Super Cab has a fold-down seat just behind the two front seats that can be used on occasion. It will seat two adults, but there will be no room for them to stretch their legs if they're tall. The Double Cab, which has plenty of head and extra legroom in the front and back, is the most spacious and practical Ranger and the one we recommend you choose for your Ford Ranger lease. It can comfortably seat four tall adults.

The maximum payload weight varies greatly depending on the cab type and engine, but most models can hold more than a tonne, with some capable of carrying up to 1252kg. The Raptor has a 620kg payload, but the majority of Ford Rangers can tow 3500kg. All models can tow trailers or caravans weighing up to 2500kg.
