The Trafic Review

The Renault Trafic has been around for nearly a decade, and it continues to go from strength to strength. Here at MWVC we think this medium-sized van is fantastic, and we currently have a number of special offers available on various models. But we don’t just want you to take our word for it, we want to give you all the information that you will need to make an informed decision about this great little van.

Trafic Report

The Renault Trafic is a versatile and practical mid-sized van and is the third best-selling van in Europe. With its current refresh it has been brought bang up to date with a squarer front end, LED daylight running lights and LED headlights and tinted windows making using the cab as a mobile office much easier.

As more of us need to be mobile, we need to take our work with us, and having a mobile office is the most practical solution. Turning the cab of the Trafic into your mobile office couldn’t be easier, simply fold the centre seat, and you have the ideal modular work space for your laptop and there is a handy A4 sized swivel stand to hold your documents for easy reading.

The Trafic comes in two versions, the panel van or the crew van. The Crew van can seat up to 6 people and has a 1017 maximum payload and a 4.3 cubic meter load volume. The Panel van seats 3 people and has a 1122 maximum payload with a 5.8 cubic meter load volume. Add into that the hatch that is located under the passenger seat to extend the loading length to 4.15m making it a practical works van for storing longer items like posts or pipes, and its rectangular floor plan gives you a total loading volume of up to 8.9 cubic meters, a most versatile works van.

Rush Hour Trafic

The Renault Trafic comes in a number of different engine sizes, and even has an electric option coming soon; the E-Tech with a 90 kW battery and 149-mile driving range. Until then, though, the engine options that the Trafic have on offer are Blue dCi150 2 litre turbo engine giving 350 Nm torque, Blue dCi 130 with a 2 litre turbocharged AdBlue engine giving 330 Nm torque and Blue dCi 170 with 170 hp and 380Nm of torque, combining comfort and responsiveness no matter which you choose.

You have the option of a 6 speed manual, or automatic dual clutch 6 speed EDC gearbox. With stop-start technology to optimize fuel consumption and the AdBlue technology offers responsive, efficient driving and reduced CO2 emissions. Plus, you still have the option to have this great van in a SWB or LWB version with any of the engine options.

Stopping Trafic

The Trafic may have been around for years, but it is bang up to date with the latest technology, and a lot of it comes as standard on all versions. With 10 advanced driver assistance systems, the Trafic has something to offer everyone, like Blind Spot warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Emergency Braking System.
