Should You Lease a Volkswagen?
Volkswagen (VW) is one of the most well-known global brands, and its popularity is difficult for other manufacturers to match. With such a diverse range of vehicles appealing to such a large market, you are sure to find a vehicle to meet your needs. Throughout its lineup, Volkswagen provides superbly built, high-quality vehicles. When you combine this with some fantastic leasing
and contract hire options
from MW Vehicle Contracts, you have some very appealing car leasing deals
to choose from.
Volkswagen Up Hatchback Car Leasing Contracts
Looking for that perfect first car? Well, you really can’t go wrong with a Volkswagen Up. The Up's supple ride is one of its main advantages. For such a small car, it does a fantastic job of remaining controlled over speed bumps at low speeds, it also handles potholes and broken asphalt well on your local high street. Even at higher speeds on the motorway, the Up remains a comfortable ride.
Following its 2020 update, the Volkswagen Up is available with two petrol engines: a 1.0-litre unit with 59bhp or a turbocharged unit with 113bhp best saved for the sportier Up GTI model. The 113bhp engine in the range-topping Up GTI can propel you from 0 to 62mph in just 8.8 seconds. Making it more enjoyable for those experienced drivers, whether you're driving in or out of the city.
If the Volkswagen Up sounds like your dream small car then we have a variety of affordable leasing contracts for you to choose from.
Volkswagen Polo Hatchback
The Volkswagen Polo has always been highly respected, but it has spent the majority of its 47-year existence in the shadow of its larger brother. Of course, you know what we're talking about: the iconic Golf.
The 1.0-litre TSI 95 engine is our favourite from the Volkswagen Polo's engine lineup. While its 94bhp output may sound scraggly, this engine pulls firmly from low revs due to how quickly its turbocharger spins up. It tends to make them more powerful 1.0 TSI 110 with 108bhp seem like an unnecessary extravagance. But that's not to say you can’t be extravagant. Another benefit of driving a Volkswagen Polo is you shouldn't have any trouble getting comfortable. All models include plenty of driver's seats and steering-wheel adjustment. Though the standard seats in Life models could benefit from more side support, as do the sports seats in Style and R-Line models.
If the Volkswagen Polo has piqued your interest, we have several Polo car leasing contracts for you to take a look through.
Volkswagen Golf Hatchback
The Volkswagen Golf is the ultimate vehicle in which anyone would be happy to be seen, and it has always managed to connect two different worlds, from being a popular family car to a more expensive premium alternative for those avid drivers.
The Golf has been there for eight generations, and this latest model, in addition to aiming to maintain its usual blend of impressive practicality and driving dynamics, adds a slew of smart innovations to the mash up. The majority of the dashboard controls have been loaded onto the centre touchscreen, with just a few complementary touch-sensitive sliders or 'buttons' to us regular folks, for commonly used commands remaining. Touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel are standard on R-Line trim and higher.
But when it comes to engine options for the Volkswagen Golf, you could go with the 128bhp 1.5 TSI 130, but we believe the more muscular 148bhp 1.5 TSI 150 makes more sense. It's significantly quicker getting up to highway speeds or passing that tractor you've been stuck behind.
If you want to be driving around in one of Volkswagen's classics then one of our Golf car leasing contracts is what you have been looking for.
